Fake-mm: The Band was founded in 2008. What happened?

Dero: We were on a trip to New York City, because we are friends for a long time. At the N.Y. airport, we had to take a leak immediately, because the toilet at the plane was too dirty to use. So we pissed in a corner and we got arrested. Right in the detention center, the cops noticed, we were quite good musicians and kind of funny guys, so they told us, that we have to "work" for our freedom. we were allowed to wear their uniforms while they gave us the chance to take part in a music- session, were we should perform rock songs together with other inmates in swing-style. so our small holiday-trip started in this strange way. after all, we took part in those strange vocal-sessions. They said to us: You can turn famous rock-songs into swing-music. We said: Okay... What? They want to make fun with us, we sould sing and play for our own freedom…?! This is spooky!…So we switched some rock-songs that everybody knows into swing-music… "Enter Sandman”, for example. Ok...it was our advantage, that Chris is excellent piano player. after we had finished the performance of METALLICAS "Enter Sandman", the cops said: Oh, man! It was great! I think you can be free...but not before tomorrow, of course!…and we understood this wink of fate: It’s a perfect introduction for a new band! We said: Let’s spin this record on and on. so we met at weekends, beside our main bands and projects. We collected first songs and we recorded and produced them. So we have a couple of more songs to come for you guys....

Fake-mm: It says on your official facebook-page, that there are only 2 members or participants in the group...why?

Chris: Well, there was no idea of a whole band before we shot these 2 videos. But we plan to rehearse good musicians for a whole band to play live on stage in the near future. Maybe also in russia...?!.

Dero: Chris is a real good multi-intstrumentalist, so there was no need to ask other musicians to take part in the recordings....

Chris: The idea of a band becomes clearer and nearer...we know, that we will be more musicians live on stage than just us two

Fake-mm: How many songs have you recorded?

Chris: We have 15 songs and there are more to come. We are full of energy and enthusiams and we are ready and eager for more....

Dero: We chose rock songs from the 90`s, because we discovered, that we have the same musical background, songs from the nineties, that we like. We also like jazz and swing very much, so this combination of rock and swing was the perfect thing for us to do and the jail-story was the ultimate introduction to this band. it was too funny to not create something very special out of this..

Fake-mm: When do you gonna release an album? How can I buy it?

Chris: until now, we are doing everything for free, but we work on a whole album, that everybody can buy via internet..

Dero: you know...it`s great to see, that people in the net ask, where can I get it...? it`s our new baby, it`s our own money that we invested in this project, we like it very much and we get so much pleasure from it. this music is pure freedom for us and people give respect and attention to it, because we are not cramped with it. it seems, that we are very authentic while doing it. It definately comes from the heart.

Fake-mm: What do you wanna say to your Russian fans?

Dero:I wanna say, that i thank you for your faith in WHAT ABOUT BILL? I wish you all the best, you´re the most beautiful and true fans in the world. I`ve been to Russia a couple of times and I saw and met many girls...well, i just can say, that you have the highest number of beautiful girls in the whole world and you are very nice people. you are wonderful and of course, to our male fans, also a big thanks for your support!

Fake-mm: Группа создана в 2008 году. Что произошло?

Dero: Мы с Крисом, старые друзья, как-то отправились в Нью-Йорк. Мы решили облегчиться в аэропорте Нью-Йорка, потому что в самолете туалет был слишком грязный. И вот, писая в углу, мы были арестованы. В изоляторе полицейские заметили, что мы хорошие музыканты и сказали, что мы должны "поработать" за нашу свободу. Работа заключалась в следующем: мы надеваем полицейскую форму и исполняем рок-песни в свинг-стиле вместе с другими задержанными. В конце концов мы приняли участие в этом вокальном мероприятии. Вдруг полицейские сказали нам: "Наложите известные рок-песни на свинг-музыку". Мы сказали: Ладно .... Что? Они хотят, весело провести время с нами? Как это мы должны петь и играть за нашу собственную свободу ...? Это жутко! Мы сыграли некоторые известные рок-песни в свинг-стиле... например "Enter Sandman"... Нашим преимуществом было то, что Крис - прекраснейший пианист, и после того, как мы исполнили "Enter Sandman" Metallica, полицейские сказали: "О, Боже, это было здорово! Мы думаем, вы можете быть свободны ... но не раньше, чем завтра, конечно ... И мы с Крисом поняли, что это судьба! Это идеальное начало для новой группы! Нужно работать в этом направлении дальше, встретились в выходные от наших основных групп и проектов дни, собрали первые песни и записали. Ближайшие выходы для вас, ребята.

Fake-mm:На вашей официальной странице на facebook.com указано только два участника группы. Почему?

Chris:Ну, не было ни малейшего представления о всей группе, прежде чем мы выстрелили этими 2 видео. Но мы планируем репетировать с хорошими музыкантами, чтобы выступать в живую. Может быть, в России..?

Dero: Крис очень хороший мульти-инструменталист, так что не было необходимости просить других музыкантов принять участие в записи ...

Chris: Идея о группе становится яснее и ближе ... мы знаем, что у нас будет больше музыкантов на сцене, не только мы вдвоем.

Fake-mm: Как много песен вы записали?

Chris: У нас есть 15 песен. Мы полны энергии и энтузиазма, мы готовы и хотим большего.

Dero: Мы выбрали рок-песни 90-х., потому что у нас есть музыкальное сопровождение, для тех песен из 90-х., что нам нравятся. Сочетание рока и свинга, как множество сочетаний джаза и свинга, прекрасно для нас. То представление в тюрьме было удивительным. Было бы глупо не создать из этого что-то особенное...

Fake-mm: Когда вы собираетесь выпустить альбом? Как я могу его приобрести?

Chris: Сейчас мы делаем все бесплатно. Над альбомом ведется работа, все можно приобрести через Интернет.

Dero: Знаешь, это здорово, встречать людей, которые говорят: где я могу получить альбом? Я уже сказал, что это наш новый ребенок, это наши собственные деньги, нам все нравится, мы получаем удовольствие от того что делаем. Эта музыка чистая свобода для нас, и люди платят уважением. То, что мы делаем идет от сердца.

Fake-mm: Что бы вы сказали вашим российским поклонникам?

Dero: Я хочу сказать, что благодарю вас за вашу веру в "WHAT ABOUT BILL?" Я желаю вам всего самого лучшего, вы самые красивые и истинные поклонники во всем мире. Я был в России пару раз. Я увидел и познакомился со многими девушками ... Ну, я просто могу сказать, что у вас самое большое количество красивых девушек во всем мире, и вы очень хорошие люди. Вы замечательные. И конечно, для наших поклонников мужского пола, также большое спасибо за вашу поддержку!
